PCR test, antigen test and vaccination certificate – new rules of entry to Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine eased quarantine restrictions and changed the conditions for entry into the country for foreign citizens.

To enter Ukraine, you must provide one of the following documents:

  • PCR test result;
  • express test done in no more than 72 hours;
  • vaccination certificate.

“Can enter the country persons who have a negative test result for Covid-19 by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method or rapid test for the determination of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus antigen, carried out no more than 72 hours before crossing the state border, or a document confirming the receipt of a full course of vaccination”, – said in the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 583.

In addition, today, on Monday, June 7, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine published the changes made to its own “quarantine” Resolution No. 1236 of December 9, 2020.

The document is posted on the government portal.

According to the decree, now in Ukraine it is allowed:

  • round-the-clock work of catering establishments, while the distance between tables has been reduced from two to 1.5 meters;
  • the work of entertainment establishments and nightclubs;
  • concerts and public events are again allowed, but they will be allowed there upon presentation of a negative PCR test or a certificate of vaccination (physical distancing standards will no longer be required to be observed).

In addition, employees of venues for public events must also have a negative test result for COVID-19 by PCR or a rapid test for the determination of antigen to coronavirus, which was carried out no more than 72 hours before the event.

Also, the government canceled the chess seating in cinemas. Instead, the rule is “two rows full, one empty”. That is, the rate of filling the halls has been increased from the existing 50% to two-thirds of the available seats. For events, tickets for which are already on sale with chess placement, there is an opportunity to hold them in the version in which they are already on sale.
