Foreigners banned to enter Ukraine again, till 28.09.2020, except certain people

On August 26, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to close the borders to foreign citizens almost until the end of September. It was planned that this will happen on August 29. At an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, it was decided to ban foreigners from entering for a month as early as midnight on August 28. The restrictions will run until September 28. The decision was published on the official website.

The list of those for whom exceptions will be made has also been expanded, namely those who will be allowed to enter Ukraine:

— are relatives of the first line (is one of the spouses, parents or children of a citizen of Ukraine);
— have a work permit in Ukraine;
— go through the territory of Ukraine in transit and have documents confirming departure abroad within two days;
— arrive in Ukraine for study purposes (visa type D-13);
— are serving at the army in the territory of Ukraine;
— permanently or temporarily reside on the territory of Ukraine (have valid residence permit);
— are recognized as refugees or persons with complementary;
— are employees of diplomatic missions and consular posts of foreign states, missions of official international missions, organizations accredited in Ukraine, and members of their families;
— are heads and members of official delegations of foreign states, employees of international organizations, as well as persons accompanying them, and enter Ukraine at the invitation of the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
— are persons arriving in Ukraine at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
— are drivers and / or crew members of freight vehicles, buses engaged in regular transportation, crew members of aircraft, sea and river vessels, members of train and locomotive crews;
— are instructors of the armed forces of NATO member states and member states of the NATO «Partnership for Peace» program, who take part in training events for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or arrive at the invitation of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine;
— are cultural figures who arrive at the invitation of a cultural institution together with one person accompanying each of them;
— arrive to participate in official sports competitions held on the territory of Ukraine and their accompanying persons;
— are technical specialists who arrive in Ukraine at the invitation of representatives of Ukrainian enterprises;
— are persons who carry out transportation of hematopoietic stem cells for transplantation;
— arrive for treatment in health care facilities of Ukraine.

Foreigners and stateless persons crossing the state border to enter Ukraine (except for foreigners, stateless persons permanently residing in Ukraine and persons recognized as refugees, or persons in need of additional protection, employees of diplomatic missions and consular posts of foreign states, representations of official international missions, organizations accredited in Ukraine, and members of their families, servicemen (units) of the armed forces of NATO member states and member states of the NATO program «Partnership for Peace» participating in training activities units of the Armed Forces) must have an insurance policy (certificate) issued by an insurance company registered in Ukraine or a foreign insurance company with a representative office in Ukraine or a contractual relationship with an insurance company — a partner in Ukraine (assistance) , and covers the costs associated with the treatment of COVID-19, observation, and operates under Art year of stay in Ukraine.

A country with a high prevalence of COVID-19 is a country in which the number of new cases of COVID-19 per 100 thousand population in the last 14 days exceeds the number of such cases in Ukraine.

The list of countries with a high prevalence of COVID-19 is compiled by the Ministry of Health and reviewed every seven days.
